Rigourous management and transparency

Our economic model

BICE is funded by public generosity, a guarantee of its independence, as well as by public or private funds. It is through these supports that, for more than 60 years, our association has been able to maintain its presence alongside children all over the world by developing long term projects.

With a permanent concern for transparency and efficiency, we strictly manage the funds entrusted to us by ensuring the reduction of administrative costs to the lowest possible percentage:

  • Public and private funds mainly finance all operating costs and overheads for our field projects,
  • Our projects are developed, monitored, controlled and evaluated by our regional delegations. Their vital role is made possible thanks to public generosity, which also contributes to the financing of the other missions of the association: international advocacy, reflection on childhoods and training sessions.
  • Since 2010, a new report called The Essential (L’Essentiel), annually sent to our donors through our quarterly periodical « Enfants de Partout », gives a synthetic vision to the organisation: who we are, what we do, how the money is spent.

A voluntary submission to outside control by the Comité de la Charte

Comite de la charteThe Comité de la Charte is an independent agreement organism which has been controlling the use of public generosity money in French associations and non-profit organisations  for over 20 years, in order to ensure a safe and sound use of the money.

Our association has been submitting voluntarily to a permanent control of the Committee of the Charter since it received its agreement in 2008. In 2011, our agreement was renewed for 3 years.
